Yu Fei and Michael celebrated their timeless and elegant summer wedding at Silver Creek Valley Country Club in San Jose, surrounded by rolling hills, a lakeside ceremony space, and the warm glow of a South Bay sunset. Although they were legally married the year before at San Francisco City Hall, this celebration was all about exchanging personal vows and gathering their closest family and friends—many of whom traveled from Taiwan—to witness this meaningful chapter of their story.

 

Yu Fei reached out to me later in her wedding planning process, sharing that she hadn’t originally planned to hire a videographer. LAKESIDE CEREMONY WITH A WATERFALL BACKDROP

The day began with an intimate first look, followed by wedding party portraits overlooking the scenic South San Jose landscape.

 

When touring venues, Yu Fei and Michael were immediately drawn to the property’s cascading waterfall—a striking focal point at Silver Creek Valley Country Club. In Chinese culture, flowing water symbolizes prosperity and abundance, making the lakeside ceremony space feel even more meaningful for this Bay Area Chinese couple.

 

As they exchanged vows with the gentle sound of the waterfall behind them, the setting felt peaceful, romantic, and deeply personal—an unforgettable ceremony framed by nature and classic white florals.

 

ROMANTIC BALLROOM RECEPTION IN THE SOUTH BAY

Guests enjoyed sweeping views of the South Bay mountains as they made their way to cocktail hour and into the Grand Ballroom. With floor-to-ceiling windows and timeless architectural details, the ballroom created an airy and elegant atmosphere for their reception.

As sunset painted the San Jose hills in soft shades of orange, Yu Fei and Michael began an evening filled with heartfelt bilingual toasts, interactive trivia games, and moments that kept every guest engaged.

 

One of the most visually stunning highlights of the night was their first dance: a classic ballroom waltz that perfectly suited the elegance of their country club wedding. Guests surrounded them with glowing phone lights as they twirled across the circular dance floor, creating a cinematic and romantic moment that translated beautifully into their wedding film.
